Not perfect, but I wasn't expecting perfection. Gives it some character. Pretty good considering I've never done anything like this before and it's from freaking pull a part.

Yep. Probably not the greatest job, but hey, it's not too bad. It now needs some rubber or something to go in the space between the wood and the metal lip. I think it used to have something but it was cracked and dried up when I got it.

It used to be on a manual shifter on a Jeep Cherokee lol. But I decided I wanted it for my car for no particular reason. I wish my car was a manual, if that counts, ha.

Here's an idea for a knob. I think it looks pretty cool. My Friend made one that looked a lot like this except he used walnut, maple, cherry, maple, walnut.
